Bluetongue Update

Many of us have been getting updates about the bluetongue outbreak and the subsequent control zones put in place. To those affected, you have our deepest sympathies.

As a result, and because all our upcoming dates are in the control zones, the committee have been reviewing where we stand. We have done this in co-ordination with DEFRA, APHA, and multiple veterinarians. Thank you all for your co-operation and advice.

As things stand, the bluetongue virus does not affect our ability to run our trials. The bluetongue virus is not transmitted by dogs or humans and all our upcoming trials are running on sheep already on location.

We will, of course, continue to monitor the situation and update you if anything changes.

Should you not feel comfortable attending any of our trials because of this and would like to cancel entries, please reach out to trials@eass.org.uk and we would be happy to refund you.
