We collect the following data:

How do we collect your data?
You directly provide us with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Register online or place a booking for one of our events.
- Provide your information for membership.
- Voluntarily provide feedback on any of our online forms or via email.
- Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
We may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:
- ISDS (International Sheepdog Society) events and communications.
How will we use your data?
We collect your data so that we can:
- Process your bookings and manage your account.
- Manage your membership.
- Email you with important information about your membership and the events we hold.
When we process your booking, our systems may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases. This is completed by our payment processors and is not directly passed to us.
How do we store your data?
Our organisation securely stores your data on a server in line with best information security practices. We also keep printed records of trial results within our archives.
We will keep your information for as long as you are a member of the society, or if you are not a member then we will keep event booking data for a period of three years. After this period we will delete the information from our databases.
Event results will be archived indefinitely as we consider these a part of the history of our society. Trial results will only contain your name. Should you wish for these details to be erased please contact us.
Please be aware that your data may persist within our backups for longer periods, however, these are only accessed for the purposes of verifying the consistency of backups and for disaster recovery. These are not accessible under normal operating processes.
What are your data protection rights?
Our organisation would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request our organisation for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
